Caitlin Heimerl was raised in Topanga, California and St. Louis, Missouri.

In 2010, she graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration. During her junior year, she studied in Rome with RISD’s European Honors Program.

Caitlin is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Her first illustrated children's book, Monet Paints a Day by Julie Danneberg, was recently released by Charlesbridge Publishing.

Caitlin now lives in Buena Vista, Colorado, a beautiful place to watch storm clouds roll over the mountains.
